ISAA Ireland Steering Group

A meeting of the ISAA Ireland steering group was held at the EPA Offices in Dublin on 6th April.  Among other subjects, ISAA Finances, Insurance and development of a strategic plan for Ireland were discussed.  A further meeting is planned for November .

Castle Archdale 2018

ISAA training at Castle Archdale, Nr Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, took place on 11th April.  The lectures concentrated on dealing with a heating oil spill which had migrated beneath the floor of a domestic property.  The various lectures were well received and everyone present felt that the day had been useful.

On Day 2 a freshwater level 3 exercise was carried out by Verde Remediation Services.  This adequately demonstrated their capability in this field and their Freshwater Level 3 accreditation status was confirmed.
